Malaysia is one of the hubs of the higher education in the world. Quality education at affordable prices, double diplomas and simplified visa regimes makes Malaysia an attractive place to get world class education. The Malaysian education system is largely modelled on the British education system.

Most of 76 higher education institutions use the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) system whilst others use the grade system. Students who wish to obtain a degree from a foreign university have the option of enrolling at a branch campus of foreign universities in Malaysia.

Currently they are six foreign universities have set up their campus in Malaysia: Monash University Malaysia, Curtin University of Technology Sarawak Campus, Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus (Australia) and The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus, Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia, University of Southampton Malaysia Campus (UK). Tuition fees range from 3, 000 USD to 10, 000 USD (depending on program); living expenses are about 5, 000 USD (including transportation, laundry, mobile phone bills, meals, accommodation)
